The 49ers have traded with the Washington Redskins for Left Tackle Trent Williams. The 49ers will receive Trent Williams and, the Redskins will receive a 5th round pick this year and a 3rd round pick next year. I personally think this is a fantastic trade. The 49ers gave up minimal compensation for a high caliber tackle. Trent was not happy in Washington and wanted to move on. Williams sat out last season and did not play. This also puts to question what 49er Joe Staley’s future is.
