Super Bowl Heartbreak

The San Francisco 49ers lost a heart breaker to the Kansas City Chiefs.  The 49ers and the Chiefs went blow to blow in this end of game nail-biter.  The 49ers defense was unable to stop the Chiefs high power offense. It ended up being a close game at the end with the chiefs coming back in the final quarter.

The 49ers would make the first score on offense kicking a field goal. The 49ers defense would hold the chiefs to 10 points in the first half.  In the first half the 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would throw a crazy interception to the Chiefs’ quarterback.  Jimmy would then come back and be insanely accurate later on in the game. Jimmy would finish the game with 219 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions.

The 49ers defense would get torched by a couple of long plays to Kansas City receivers Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman.  The 49ers defense was gassed in the last quarter of the game. Kansas City would use that to their advantage and eventually come back.

Jimmy Garoppolo would give his best effort to keep the 49ers in the game but would be unable to execute due to Kansas City pass rush.  The 49ers offensive line did not give Jimmy a lot of time in the pocket.  49ers left tackle Joe Staley played with a hand injury for half of the game as well.

Kansas City defense did shut down the 49ers offense in the last quarter.  They put a lot of pressure on the 49ers offensive line and Jimmy Garoppolo. This made it very difficult for the 49ers offense to move down the field. They also did limit the 49ers rushing attack as well.  This plan overall worked very well for Kansas City.

Overall the game was back and forth most of the time.  It was a good and entertaining game.  Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes made some clutch throws late in the 4th quarter.  The Kansas City Chiefs finished with 286 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.  Overall it was a heavyweight game and the Kansas City Chiefs came out victorious.
